Efektivitas Inhalasi Minyak Lavender Dan Kompres Dingin Terhadap Nyeri Pasca Thoracentesis

Abstract

Thoracentesis merupakan prosedur invasif umum untuk efusi pleura yang seringkali menimbulkan nyeri pasca-prosedural, berdampak negatif pada kenyamanan pasien dan pemulihan. Manajemen nyeri yang efektif sangat krusial untuk meningkatkan kualitas asuhan keperawatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas kombinasi inhalasi minyak lavender dan kompres dingin dalam menurunkan intensitas nyeri pasca-thoracentesis pada pasien efusi pleura. Menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest, penelitian ini melibatkan 60 pasien efusi pleura yang menjalani thoracentesis. Intensitas nyeri diukur menggunakan Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) sebelum dan 30 menit setelah intervensi kombinasi inhalasi minyak lavender dan kompres dingin. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan signifikan pada intensitas nyeri pasca-thoracentesis, dengan rata-rata skor NRS menurun dari 7.14 (SD 1.47) menjadi 4.29 (SD 1.70) setelah intervensi (p < 0.001). Inhalasi minyak lavender dan kompres dingin berpotensi menjadi strategi manajemen nyeri komplementer dalam praktik keperawatan pasca-thoracentesis, meningkatkan kenyamanan pasien dan mendukung pemulihan
