Dampak Penggunaan Gadget Terhadap Kesehatan Mental Anak: Narrative Review

Abstract

Penggunaan gadget pada anak - anak semakin meningkat secara global, kondisi ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran serius terkait dampaknya terhadap kesehatan mental anak. Tujuan narrative review ini adalah menganalisis dampak penggunaan gadget terhadap kesehatan mental anak berdasarkan bukti dari jurnal ilmiah tahun 2019 - 2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah narrative review dengan penelusuran literatur melalui database PubMed, Google Scholar, dan scopus menggunakan kata kunci “gadget”, “smartphone”, “screen time”, “kesehatan mental anak”, “mental health children”, dan “depression anxiety children”. Sebanyak 25 artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan dianalisis secara naratif. Hasil menunjukan bahwa penggunaan gadget berlebihan pada anak berkaitan dengan peningkatan risiko depresi, kecemasan, gangguan tidur, perilaku agresif, dan penurunan kemampuan sosial. Paparan konten media sosial yang tidak sesuai usia meningkatkan risiko kondisi kesehatan mental anak. Kesimpulannya bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara durasi dan pola penggunaan gadget dengan kesehatan mental anak. Intervensi berbasis keluarga, sekolah, serta edukasi membatasi paparan gadget yang tidak terkontrol pada anak sangat penting untuk diberikan.
